To the Moon and Back

We all have seen romantic movies that always make us fall in love to feel the magic and the butterfly feeling. I never thought that falling IN LOVE with someone can happen this fast until my trip to Cuba of February 2013. I didn't expect my trip to change me in the duration of my vacation. It was the kiss that summed it up for me. The everlasting kiss that made me feel weak in the knees, my heart felt like it was awakened and my soul felt as the lighting had stroked between us. We paused at that same moment and he stated in his deep Cuban accent, “You are my lady and my princess!” right there and then I knew I loved him. I took with me on my return home the emotion of my heart that was shattered in pieces thinking I will never see him again. How many of you here have had the most wonderful kiss that left you weak in the knees? The man who kissed me is the man I married after six months of knowing him. It may be crazy but my story is been a true journey in finding myself again and the true soul within me. Eat Pray & Love is what I thought that happened to me except I didn't wait any longer. I followed my heart. There have been many cries, frustrations and sadness in the distance of what we have. The struggle of the communication from Canada to Cuba has been the trial in this distance between us but yet, I am able to get through it because of LOVE. Love is what I am in it for and what we fight for. The connection that my husband and I have is truly amazing because no matter how far apart we are; I feel it in my heart when he tells me "I love you to the moon and back".

I have been in a few long relationships but this is my far the longest distance relationship/marriage that I am now experiencing. I am sharing my experiences by this to keep me focus and busy while I work full time and working on finishing filing for my husband’s sponsorship. My journey will leave you wanting for more of how we have kept loving each other when we are apart. Love is a gamble and Love is also beautiful and when two people are in love; you will do anything to keep that Love stronger.
