A Priceless Adventure

How did I get here? Let’s see, I had an affair with Mr. Bell Canada and Mr. Rogers Network, then I called it quits with Mr. Rogers because I am one of many who racked up the unlimited long distance call to Cuba and Rogers cancelled the promotion when I was only one month into it. But I continued the affair with Mr. Bell Canada until I discovered apps in my phone that provides better service and cheaper rate. Since, then I use many apps such as Keku and Rebtel; I decided to go on a Bell diet so I cut off my international access and no more using long distance using Mr. Bell. Wow the amount of money I gained in my pocket was astonishing!

My husband always says to me that he is like an Indian boy the technology is not on their side. Let’s see the first few months, he wrote to me every day when he can get a chance to use a computer at his school. There are times he would use a friends laptop just to send me a message because the computers are not available to be use because of bad Cuba cell connections. They only have eight computers available for thirty students. I never did understand it but I remind myself that my husband lives in a communist country and the Indian boy always come to my mind. How lucky we are to have an easier access keeping in touch with our family from different cities, towns and other countries. There are many ways such as face time, Skype, unlimited texting, Tango and I can go on and on. Then here I was, I get so excited when I receive one email from my Cuban boyfriend or whould I say my Indian boy. The entirety of my day is complete because of my one email. This man wrote to me from the heart, he expressed his feelings the way a woman should be courted. I mentioned I fell in love with him from a kiss; every day I fall in love with him from the words he expressed and how he felt for me. I responded to his e-mails every day and each words in my letter comes from my soul. I was never a romantic type and I cannot believe the expressions I used of how much I needed someone like him in my life. How he keeps me grounded. I went from all qbout designer a shopaholic to not caring about the materialistic thing in life. Don't get me wrong! I still shop but only for necessary things such as a durable set of suitcases, summer attires, fliflops and coconut oil.

My priceless adventures further down the road became more meaningful.  I needed to know him more. I needed to see his facial expression when he tells me how much he likes me. His letters were sincere but I want to see him despite of what the outcome will bring me. I had nothing to loose except the bitter sweet, memory of our back stage affair.

For now, stay  tune as how my Cuban husband and I develop our Love with each other. My priceless adventures continues on as we learn more from one another.
